What is bankruptcy? I am 20 years old with quite a bit of debt in my opinion. I have a $5000.00 credit card that has not been paid in about 6 months. I have a contract for a Bell Mobility Turbo Stick, thought it was good at first until my second bill was over $600.00 that was a year ago and that is in collections now. I had a contract with two cell phones in my name, the other person screwed me over and my bill for both accounts was 1100.00 the phones were disconnected and I put $50.00 on the account every two weeks but that was not good enough now that is in collections... I know it wasn't the minimum payment BUT I was giving what I could... I have a $5000.00 student loan for a course that I CANNOT get a job for... the payments were to be made December 31 and I did make the payment and there are arrangements for the full amount of 80.00 to come out each month. I am working full time making minimum wage.. I would like to go back to school but simply cant right now, I even had to move back in with my parents and they are charging me rent 300.00 each month. I leased a car out that I could no longer afford and my parents took over the lease and paid for the two months I was late.. I leased a car because when I did graduate I did find a decent temp job but after the 3 months I was let go... I just don't know what to do.. at the rate I am going I will never be able to own anything...

I've been driving for about 3 years now, and I honestly cannot help but ask why are we paying $100 per month or more on car insurance, and some of us don't even get into accident at all? I mean that is like money out the door. My current premium is $625 per 6 month and it is a pain to pay it off. So, what I suggest if you get into an accident you are required take out a loan if you cannot pay and pay it yourself, wouldn't that make more sense? Instead of having to pay all that money off and in return you get nothing?

I was stopping at a stop sign, and as I put my foot on the brake, there was some black ice, and my car slid through the stop sign, straight into the intersection, where a woman hit me in the rear end of my car, which spun my car around, making my tap the back of her car as well. OK, so just want an opinion. I just got a job to sell cars. Its slow right now, they said avg salesman sells about 8 cars a month. its a 1,000 draw,. $500 per month, and %25 to %30 commission. Car accident with no insurance?

I was stopped at a red light behind two cars. Both cars started to go and so did I the next thing I knew I had hit the car in front of me. The car in front of me hit the car in front of him. We all pulled over my car isnt to bad but I drive a suburban, the car in front of me was a smaller car so his looked a little worse. Nobody was hurt, and all cars were drivable, so we decided to not call the police we just all exchanged information. After we had finished and they left I immediately called my insurance lady to let her know what happened. I am not super clear on this next part, we have been going back and forth with our insurance since that call and will continue to fight it. When I called the insurance lady she said I wasnt covered. She said that they had received the last payment much later than it was due (not sure how because it was mailed the same time as always) but because of that our insurance had been cancelled. A couple of weeks ago they had chased our check, she said we were reinstated as of yesterday (the day of the accident) but because it was the same day they werent liable to pay the damages. We are going to keep fighting them because I dont think its fair. Even if they decide that they wont pay we can afford to just pay for the damages to the rear end of the car in front of us, because know matter what happened I am at fault for following to close. We cant afford to pay out of our pocket also for his front end and the rear end of the first car. Shouldnt those damages be covered by the car I hit because he was obviously following to close to the car in front of him? Im a little freaked out with all this, this is the first accident I have ever been in and we have always had insurance, so we thought. The insurance company did say they mailed us a cancellation notice but if they did we have never received one.

Soooo, she has asked me to get the vehicle insurance in my name using my driver's license. my stepson just got his learner's permit, he may be driving my husband's truck once in a while to learn, (I think he'll be driving mostly when he's at his mom's house), a mile here and a mile there. We have geico insurance, do we need to add him temporarily? i tried to look at our coverage and get a quote, but it won't let me without actually adding him as a driver. i'm not about to add him without a quote since he's only 16... way too young to be driving in my opinion, but that's another issue...

I have been looking around and i am getting ridiculous qoutes of around 5000, however i have found ikude insurance which is only 1800 but iyou have to have a box, which i would really rather not have but might have to.
